Management Information System (MIS) department aims to provide the students with an interdisciplinary understanding of business management and information technologies. Within this framework, there are three academic units in the department: Information Technologies, Decision Sciences, and Information Systems. Our curriculum consists of courses related to these academic units. All courses are taught in English. MIS student will get a comprehensive learning in the area of information systems via analytical thinking and problem solving. MIS department aims to provide theoretical and applied IT education which develops the ability of students to make new inventions and to produce IT related projects in both the national and international levels.
The graduates of Management Information Systems department will be able to position themselves as System/Business Analysts, Application Consultants, and Database Programmers in IT consultancy companies and as well as IT Specialists/Experts in production/manufacturing or service organizations (public and private) at their early careers. The graduates will have a potential to be the future managers by means of the technical and analytical abilities and the business acumen that they acquire during their studies.
